The recently launched betting brand of Crown Resorts and BetEasy, CrownBet has announced the signing of a new sponsorship deal. The new deal makes CrownBet the official wagering partner of the Australian regional horseracing organization, Country Racing Victoria. The betting brand will also become the preferred online betting agency of CRV. Under the terms of the deal, punters will also benefit by receiving exclusive wagering offers.
The marketing manager of Country Racing Victoria, Darren Galley said: "We hope our customers will make full use of CrownBet's offers and expertise when they make a bet on the country races."
"They've already showed their willingness to support country racing in Victoria and we look forward to working with them to do just that," he added.
Another Australian Betting Sponsorship
This is not the first deal struck between CrownBet and major Australian sports organizations since the betting brand was launched by Crown Resorts and BetEasy in March this year.
CrownBet has already partnered with Tennis Australia and Cricket Australia in a number of deals.
The chief executive of CrownBet, Matt Tripp spoke of delight to form the partnership with Country Racing Victoria, saying that the organization was a "significant contributor to the Australian wagering landscape."
Joint Betting Venture
Crown Resorts (owner of Betfair Australia) and BetEasy announced in March this year that they were entering into a joint venture agreement to launch the new national betting website, Crownbet.com.au.
Crown holds a 67% majority stake, while BetEasy owns the smaller 33% stake. Tripp serves as CEO of the venture.
At the time of the launch, Crown Resorts owner and chairman, James Packer called it an "exciting venture" which would "help build an Australian-owned business that can compete strongly with the largely foreign-owned competitors in our wagering industry.
