NetEnt Rocks with New Slot Announcement

Jimi Hendrix Slot in Pipeline

Jimi Hendrix was undoubtedly one of the most creative musicians of the late 1960's.

NetEnt has announced its intentions to keep its loyal players rocking thanks to the release of a new branded, rock-themed video slot game.

Fans are still enamored with the group's latest launch, Guns N' Roses slot, but there is no rest for the NetEnt creative team as they go about working on the latest title to be unveiled, Jimi Hendrix online slot.

Based on one of the most influential musicians of his time, the Jimi Hendrix slot was unveiled at the ICE Totally Gaming 2016 expo held in London recently. It has a planned release date of April 2016.

This is the second in a trilogy of rock-themed video slots planned by the Swedish software company, with the third, as-of-yet untitled game planned for September this year.

Slot Pays Homage to Star

Jimi Hendrix was undoubtedly one of the most creative musicians of the late 1960's and NetEnt plans to do him the full honors in its new slot game. Five of the singer's smash hits will feature in the new game, including Foxy Lady, Little Wing and Purple Haze.

NetEnt has given its creative team carte-blanche to pay homage to the star, and it was revealed that Hendrix's character has been developed with 10 morph targets, with hundreds of unique facial expressions modified by hand for the ultimate in realism.

NetEnt will develop the animated slot entirely in 3D.

Jimi Hendrix Branded Product

The chief production officer of NetEnt, Simon Hammon said that Jimi Hendrix was undisputedly one of the greatest rock stars that ever lived and the group found it was an honor and a great responsibility to create a Jimi Hendrix branded product.

"Working together with the Hendrix family and their companies Experience Hendrix, L.L.C and Authentic Hendrix, LLC on this game will help make our NetEnt Rocks series one of the most desirable product offerings available," he added.

Also commenting was the president and CEO of Experience Hendrix, LLC, Janle L. Hendrix who said: "We take enormous pride in the role we play in promoting Jimi's art and persona. Because of that, we are extremely selective in who we partner with. NetEnt, we feel, has an understanding of the importance and we're thrilled to work with them. The prospects are exciting!"
