Western Australia is on another record-breaking roll as more and more people from the state become instant millionaires in lottery draws.
Two more Western Australians joined the ranks after they were among the ten people to share the $21 million prize pool in Saturday's Lotto Superdraw.
Each of the ten, including the two from WA, took home $2.1 million.
This brings to 37 the number of people from the state to win division one lotto prizes in 2016 alone.
Leah McLeod, a spokesperson for Lotterywest said that the state was "on its way to another record-breaking year of winners."
Saturday Lotto Superdraw
Saturday's Lotto Superdraw had ten division one winners. The winning numbers were 31, 14, 1, 24, 35 and 3, with supplementary numbers being 8 and 17.
The winning Western Australian tickets were sold at Clark's Newsagency in Albany and The Lotto Lottery Center in Booragoon.
18 players won Division 2 prizes of $9,518 each and a total of 183,000 Western Australians won a Superdraw prize.
The state benefited from over $4 million that was pumped back into the community thanks to the large number of players who purchased a lottery ticket.
Lucky Year for WA
The latest winners join a growing list of Western Australians who won big jackpots this year. The most recent was a FIFO worker who had recently lost his job and hit a $1,008,278.58 jackpot in April.
The man called his win "a great outcome."
"I've worked my whole life and karma has certainly come back around for us," he said. "We've already done the budget; we can wipe all of our debts and we'll be able to live comfortably. I can get a second hand car and I'll buy my wife a show room car with no finance!"
A mystery player, also from WA, scooped a whopping $40 million in March.
