Lottery Number Patience Pays for Oz Player

Delighted Oz Lottery Player Celebrates Win

Lottery outlet reports third division one win this year.

A thrilled man from Tweed Heads on the Gold Coast is finally celebrating a division one lottery win after years of playing the same numbers.

The winner, who has opted to remain anonymous, said that he had been waiting years to receive the call that he was a big lottery winner, but that his patience has finally paid off.

The man won half a million dollars in Saturday's Lotto draw, as well as other divisional prizes with a System 8 entry.

His total prize was $528,298.24.

The lucky winner said that he would be celebrating his big win with a few beers.

"I'm not too sure what I'll do with my windfall but I plan to enjoy it," he said.

Winner Recalls Lotto Windfall

The Tweed Heads local said that he checked his Saturday Lotto ticket on the weekend and he could not believe it when he spotted that he had lined up all six winning numbers.

"I'm so excited," he declared. "I've been playing my favorite numbers for a very long time. I've been waiting a long time to get one of these calls."

The anonymous winner was one of eight entries around the country that won a first division prize in Saturday's draw.

Winning numbers were 3 - 8 - 18 - 12 - 9 - 27 and supplementary numbers 39 and 4.

The winning areas around Australia were as follows:

Third Time Lucky for Lotto Outlet

Amazingly, this was the third time that the Tweed City News, where the winning ticket was sold, could report on a division one jackpot this year.

The manager of the lotto outlet, Sue Woods said that everyone was thrilled about the latest win.

"They say good things happen in threes and we've just got the hat-trick of division one wins," she said.

"There are still a few months until the end of the year so maybe we can have another and have an awesome foursome of division one wins."

"We're going to have to find some extra room on our wall for our new division one winning outlet plaque."
